Making tandoori chicken in the air fryer is actually super easy and turns out delicious. Here’s a simple way to do it:

Ingredients:
First Marination:
2 kg chicken (with skin removed, deep slits made)
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp red chili powder
Second Marination:
1 cup yogurt
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp garam masala
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
2 tbsp Kashmiri red chili powder
2 tbsp mustard oil
1 tsp Salt
Method:
👉Clean chicken, make deep slits.
👉Apply first marinade (salt, lemon juice, chili powder) and let it rest for half an hpur
👉Mix all ingredients of second marinade, coat the chicken well.
👉kepp the marinated chicken overnight in the fridge.
👉preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 5 minutes.
Cook:
👉Place the whole chicken in the lined basket
👉Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 20 minutes. Flip halfway through.
Char it slightly:
If you want a slight char (like real tandoori), increase to 200°C (390°F) for the last 2–3 minutes.
👉Baste with butter during cooking for juicy texture.
Serve:
👉Sprinkle some chaat masala and lemon juice on top.
👉Serve with mint chutney/ onion rings or some fries
