Squids masala

"Delve into the rich flavors of Squids Masala, where tender squid meets aromatic spices and roasted coconut for a truly delightful culinary experience! 🍽️✨"

Ingredients:
👉 500 grams of squid, cleaned and cut
👉1 cup grated fresh coconut
👉 2 tablespoons oil (coconut oil preferred)
👉 1 onion 🧅
👉2 green chilies
👉6 cloves of garlic
👉1” inch ginger
👉1 tsp turmeric powder
👉1/2 tsp red chili powder
👉1 tsp Garam masala
👉1 tbs coriander powder
👉3 to 4 kokum
👉 Salt to taste
👉Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Method
👉In a pan, add the grated coconut and roast it on medium heat than add the chopped onion,garlic,chopped ginger and green chillies . Stir continuously to avoid burning. Let it turn golden brown Once done, set aside to cool.
Grind it to fine paste and set it aside
👉Heat up a pot add the oil. Add the ground masala paste and sauté for two minutes
👉Now, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, Garam masala and salt. Mix well,add a little water and cook for a couple of minutes until the spices are well combined.
👉Add the cleaned chopped squid to the pot and mix everything well. Cook on medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until the squid is cooked through,add the kokum and Garnish with fresh coriander leaves
👉Squid masala pairs well with steamed rice or chapatis
