Spiced Peas Pulao

A deliciously spiced Rice dish called the peas pulao where no onions or tomatoes are added, the mint and the coriander leaves gives it a fresh green look to the pulao.




Ingredients


2 cups of basmati rice(soaked in water for 1/2 hour)

2 cups of mint leaves

2 cups of peas

1/2 cup of coriander leaves

1 tbsp of ginger

1 green chilly

4 tbsp oil

10 peppercorns

6 cloves

2 bay leaves

1” Cinnamon

1 tsp Cumin seeds


Method


*Take a blender add in mint,fresh coriander leaves,piece of ginger grind it to a paste adding very little water...when done removed it in bowl keep aside.

*Heat up a pot on a medium heat add 4 tbsp oil when the oil becomes hot add cumin seeds to it, let it splatter, add in bay leaves add in peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon let the aroma of the spices out.


*Now add in the ground paste stir it up lightly for 3 to 4 min.let the raw smell paste go away.

*After soaking the rice drain it and add it to the pot ...coat the rice nicely with the paste.

*Add in peas...add salt to taste...add in 4 cups of boiled water cover it with a lid n cook it till the rice is done.


*Your yummy spiced peas pulao is ready to eat.
