prawns masala

prawns masala is a simple Indian dish and a super easy to make recipe. it is very delicious and is packed with flavours.The ingredients are easily available in any Indian homes.

It is a dish made with fresh prawns, onions ,tomatoes, ginger, garlic and a few spices




Ingredients

200 gms fresh prawns

1 big finely chopped onions

1 medium finely chopped tomato

1 1/2 ''ginger chopped

7 cloves of garlic

1 tbs coriander seeds

1/2 tsp black peppercorns

4 green chillies

Turmeric powder

1tsp cumin seeds

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1tbsp lime juice

2tbsp oil

coriander leaves for garnishing




*Clean, devein and wash the prawns apply salt and turmeric powder keep aside


*Take a blender add ginger ,garlic ,coriander seeds ,green chillies, black peppercorns,1/2 tsp cumin seeds,1/2 cup finely chopped onion grind it to a fine paste keep it aside





*Heat up a pot add 2tbsp oil when the oil is hot add the seasoned prawns fry it on a high flame for 2 mins remove it from the pot and put it in bowl keep it aside

*To the same oil add cumin seeds let it splatter add bay leaves when the oil is hot add chopped onions fry until golden brown add chopped tomatoes fry until mushy lower the flame add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder mix it to that add 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder fry add the ground paste fry for 20seconds fry it on a high flame add a cup of water add some salt to taste bring to boil add the seasoned prawns, add lime juice, let it cook in its own juices for 5 mins turn off the flame garnish with fresh coriander leaves




*Prawns masala can be eaten with steamed rice, bread or parathas
