Paneer Pulao

Pulao is one of the most popular dishes of India and Paneer pulao is a delicious, simple and easy to make pulao like any other pulao.I have seasoned this pulao with whole spices, salt and fresh mint leaves and also used some vegetables to combine well with paneer, you can have this pulao with raita,pickle,papad or chutney.



Ingredients:

👉250 gms paneer

👉2 1/2 cup Basmati Rice

👉5 cups of hot water

👉2 medium Onions

👉1 cup Carrots

👉1 cup Fresh beans

👉1 cup peas

👉2 slited green chillies

👉1 tsp garam masala

👉Handful of mint leaves

👉3 tbsp oil

👉1 tsp ghee

👉salt to taste


whole spices

👉3 pods Cardamon

👉1 tsp cumin seeds

👉4 to 5 cloves

👉7 to 8 Peppercorns

👉2 sticks cinnamon

👉1 Black cardamon

👉1 star anise



Method

👉Soak the Basmati Rice with some water for 30 minutes.


👉If you have a block of paneer than cut the paneer into small cubes or you have readymade cut pieces than add some salt to it keep it aside.


👉In a fry pan add in 1 tsp ghee heat it up on a medium flame fry the paneer pieces until golden brown in colour, when done keep aside.


👉Heat up a pot on a medium flame add in oil, When hot add in the whole spices. When it gives out a nice Aroma, add in chopped Onions fry until translucent.Add in the vegetables that is carrots, peas and fresh beans and the green chilli, fry it for some time.


👉Now add in the garam masala ,salt and handful of chopped mint leaves, fry it for 10 seconds.Add in the fried Paneer mix it up then add in 5 cups of hot water. give it a boil,Now add in the soaked Basmati Rice(drain the water). Check for salt ,cover and cook for 10 mins or until the rice has soaked all the water and your delicious Paneer Pulao is ready to eat.
