Kasuri Methi Malai Chicken

Kasuri methi refers to dry leaves of fenugreek plant. It is an herb with a bitter taste, it is used in many Indian curries and has a strong aroma and distinctive flavour.kasuri methi is a good source of dietary fibre, high in protein content and is rich in iron.I love using kasuri methi in my cooking so I prepared this chicken curry with kasuri methi and it tastes amazing.Try this tasty yet easy curry with a nutty creamy taste.

Ingredients:

👉750 gms chicken on bones

👉2 medium chopped onions

👉1 medium tomato finely chopped

👉8 Almonds soaked and ground into paste

👉4 tbsp fresh cream

👉1 tbsp kauri methi

👉1tsp red chilli powder

👉2 tbsp coriander powder

👉1 tbsp garam masala

👉2 tbsp oil

👉2 tbsp butter

👉salt to taste


Whole spices:

👉4 cardamon

👉1“cinnamon (2 sticks)

👉1 black cardamon

👉5 cloves


Marination of the chicken:

👉1 tsp salt

👉1 tsp turmeric powder

👉1/2 tsp black pepper

👉2 tbsp ginger garlic paste

👉1 tbsp kasuri methi

👉4 tbsp Yogurt

👉2 chopped green chillies


Method:

👉Clean and wash the pieces of the chicken,apply the ingredients mentioned in marination part let it marinate for half hour.


👉After marination heat up a pot on a medium heat add in oil and add the whole spices that is mention above, let the aroma of the spices come out then add in chopped onions let it turn golden brown fry it for 3 mins.

👉Then add in chopped tomato let be mushy then add in ginger garlic paste when the raw smell of the ginger garlic goes, add in the marinated chicken put the flame on high and combine all the mixture to the chicken for few seconds.


👉Then add in red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder give it a good mix cover it with a lid and cook it for 10 mins. on a slow heat.

👉After 10 mins add in almond paste stir it altogether than add in kasuri methi ,butter, let it simmer for few 5 more mins. than add in the fresh cream stir it well let it cook for 3 mins.and your dish is ready to serve. It tastes superb with plain parathas.
