Goan sheera

Goa‘s favourite at tea time mostly enjoyed by kids and liked by All.

It is simple yet flavourful.Rava or sooji also known as semolina is made from durum wheat.

The recipe is made with coarse semolina and a generous amount of ghee.



Ingredients


1 cup semolina

3 cups of hot water

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup ghee

1/2 tsp cardamon powder

8 cashew nuts( roast it with little ghee)

food colour few drops


Method

1.Take a deep bottom pan


2.On a low heat dry roast the rava(semolina)on a slow fire stiring continuously for about 3 mins

3.Add in the ghee...let the ghee melt in,roast it again for 2 mins



4.Add in hot water...mix in altogether add in food color...add the roasted cashew nuts add sugar...mix it all up...last add the cardamon powder..combine everything together...

*sheera is done once it comes together like a ball.




*yummy sheera is ready.....which you can enjoy during breakfast...evening tea time
