Goan Prawns Chilly Fry

A very simple basic recipe of prawns chilly fry which is made in most of the goan houses.

The ingredients used in this recipe is minimal and easily available at our homes.the key ingredient of these recipe is onion, onions form the base of a good chilly fry.


Ingredients:

👉200gms prawns(washed,cleaned,

seasoned with salt)

👉4 medium sliced onions

👉1 large tomato sliced

👉1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

👉1/2 tsp turmeric powder

👉1 tsp vinegar

👉2 green slit chilles

👉2 tbsp finely chopped Coriander leaves

👉3 tbsp oil

👉salt to taste


Method:

👉Wash, clean devein the prawns ,apply 1tsp salt keep aside.let it set for 15mins.

after 15mins wash the prawns again, we wash the prawns as they should not turn salty while cooking.



👉Heat up a frying pan on a medium heat add 2 tbsp oil fry the seasoned prawns for 3 mins until the juice of prawns comes out, remove it in a plate and keep it aside.


👉In a same pan add 1 tbsp oil, when hot add the sliced onions fry until golden than add the ginger garlic paste fry until the raw smell goes.



👉Add the sliced tomatoes fry it for 2 mins.Add the fried prawns to that add salt add slited green chillies, vinegar and fresh coriander leaves mix this all together put flame on low and cover it and cook it for 5 mins and than it’s ready.

It’s just yum when eaten with rice and dal.
