Goan Potato bhaji /sukhi bhaji


Goan potato bhaji is very popular dish mostly served for breakfast or as a brunch. My children and I personally enjoy it with pooris ,it is very popular in goan restaurants and is prepared with basic ingredients, A truly goan delicacy.

Ingredients:

👉1/2 kg potatoes

👉1 large onion

👉1 tsp cumin seeds

👉1 tsp ginger garlic paste

👉1 tsp mustard seeds

👉6 curry leaves

👉4 slited green chillies

👉1/2 tsp turmeric powder

👉1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves

👉2 tbsp oil

👉salt to taste


Method:

👉Wash and Pressure Cook the potatoes with water above the potatoes level for 5 mins or 3 whistles.

👉When cool remove it from the cooker ,peel it and cut it into small cubes, when done keep it aside.

👉Heat up a pot on a medium flame add in 2 tbsp oil when hot add in mustard seeds, cumin seeds,curry leaves,let it splatter.

👉Now add in chopped onions sauté until transluent now add in turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste fry it until the raw smell of ginger and garlic goes and give it a stir.


👉Now add in chopped potatoes combine everything together add a cup of hot water and salt to taste.

Cover it and lower the heat and let it cook for 5 mins and let it thicken up a bit, last add in the slited green chillies and the freshly chopped coriander leaves.

👉And your delicious potato Bhaji is ready in no time.
