Goan Beef Roast

Goan beef roast/Goan beef Assad a very famous and traditional recipe made for festive occasions which can be relished in many ways made with beef marinated in ground spices easily available at home and then cooked with other ingredients till tender do try to make this delicious recipe this Easter


Ingredients:

👉1kg beef ( boneless meat with fat cut into chunks )

👉5 to 6 kashmiri chillies

👉2 medium size onions cut into rings

👉1 lime

👉1 tbsp vinegar

👉1 tbsp oil

👉2 tbsp fat(optional)

👉1 tsp sugar

👉salt as required


Grind to paste:

👉15 cloves of garlic

👉1 ''Ginger

👉10 cloves

👉1/2 tsp black peppercorns

👉1 stick Cinnamon

👉1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

👉1tsp Cumin seeds

👉tamarind ball small size


Method:

👉In a blender grind to paste the above mentioned ingredients which says grind to paste remove it in a bowl and keep it aside.


👉Wash the meat thoroughly apply salt,lime,vinegar and the ground masala,cover it with onion rings and Kashmiri chillies let it marinate overnight ...


👉Next day in a pressure cooker on a medium heat pour some oil and some fat when the oil is hot add in a tsp of sugar let it caramelised then add in the marinated pieces of meat with 1cup of water meat pressure cook it for 15min(3 to 4whistles).


👉when done open the lid of the pressure cooker and let it cool down, when the meat is cool enough,remove the loafs on a chopping board and cut it into slices you like,I have cut into thin slices, after the slices are cut pour the meat in the cooker into the gravy cover the lid of the cooker and pressure cook it again for 10mins let the meat absorb into the gravy.


👉After the meat is done you can have it with bread or on the rice or pulao or shallow fry the roast pieces and have it as an appetiser serve hot with some French fries.
