Fish Caldine

Fish caldine is deliciously creamy and aromatic curry,It is a mildly spiced preparation,made with few spices and freshly extracted coconut milk.

I mostly like it with steamed rice. Do give it a try to this creamy fish curry recipe.

Ingredients:

👉2 golden pomfrets(washed,cut into pieces)

👉8 medium prawns(washed,cleaned,seasoned with salt)

👉1 medium onion chopped fine

👉1 medium tomato chopped fine

👉2 green chillies slited

👉1 coconut(ground and than strained the milk) thick milk and thin milk(grind after straining the thick milk)

👉1 tbsp oil

👉salt to taste


Grind to paste:

👉2 tbsp coriander seeds

👉1 tsp rice

👉1 cup fresh coriander leaves

👉1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds

👉1 tsp poppy seeds

👉10 cloves

👉1/2 tsp pepper corns

👉1 tbsp garlic

👉1 “ Ginger

👉1 lime size Tamrind ball

👉4 green chillies

👉1 tsp turmeric


Method:

👉Grind the above ingredients with little water to a paste.keep it aside.

👉Wash ,clean and cut the pomfrets apply salt and little turmeric for the the fish and prawns and it keep aside.


👉Heat up a pot add oil when hot add in chopped onions sauté add in chopped tomatoes sauté for a while.


👉Now add in the ground masala from the blender to the pot and Sauté for 2mins.


👉Now add prawns and gently stir fry


👉Now add the thin extracted coconut milk.


👉Give it a boil add salt to taste cover it and let it simmer for 5 mins now add in the fish.


👉After adding fish cover the pot with the lid and Simmer it for 5 to 7 mins let the mixture combine in the flavours of the aromatic curry.


👉last add the thick coconut milk,keep stirring gently,keep the flame on simmer.

👉Add the slited green chillies before putting of the gas.

👉Do not Cook the fish for a longer time as it will break apart.

👉Try this delicious recipe and enjoy it with steamed rice.
