Coriander pulao/cilantro Rice

Coriander pulao a one pot dish which is fragrant and tasty made with fresh coriander leaves basmati rice and and some whole spices. In my house coriander leaves is a must, as I add it in many of my dishes. It is a good source of fibre and calcium and has lots of essential oils. so if you have ample of coriander leaves in your fridge then do try this easy to make recipe.


Ingredients:

👉2 cups basmati rice

👉4 cups hot water

👉1 bunch fresh chopped coriander leaves

👉4 green chilliies

👉2 medium finely chopped onions

👉1 medium finely chopped tomato

👉4 cardamon

👉5 to 6 black pepper corns

👉4 cloves

👉1”cinnamon

👉1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

👉1 tsp salt


Method:

👉Take a bowl and soak the basmati rice with some water for 1/2 hour.


👉In a pot on a medium flame add in oil when hot add the whole spices cinnamon,cloves,cardamons,black peppercorns let it splatter.


👉Add in chopped onions let it turn translucent then add in chopped tomatoes saute for 2 mins then add in ginger garlic paste saute till the raw smell of ginger garlic goes.add in the slited green chillies


👉Now add in 4 cups of boiled water and some salt give it a stir and cover the pot and let it simmer.

👉Now add in the soaked rice to the pot (wash and strain the water)then add in the chopped cilantro/ coriander leaves and give a stir and cover the pot with the lid and let it cook on medium flame for 7 to 8 mins or until the rice absorbs all the water and cooks well.


👉The aromatic cilantro pulao is ready to serve.
