Chicken Bhukara is a very tasty and creamy Dish.The name Aloo bhukara(in Hindi )means plums, so in this recipe the main hero of this dish is the Aloo bhukara,I have used Dried Plums known as Prunes in the recipe which makes this dish just yum..
Ingredients:
👉1kg chicken on bones
👉1tbsp ginger garlic paste
👉1 tsp garam masala
👉1 tsp cumin seeds powder
👉1 tsp red chilli powder
👉1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
👉1 tsp coriander powder
👉1/2 cup of yogurt
👉1 lime
👉3 tbsp of cornflour
👉marinate the above ingredients for 1/2 hour with 1tsp salt keep it aside
👉Cut 4 medium onions length wise fine, deep fry it until nice and brown,keep it aside.
👉Soak about 15 almonds for 20 mins.Grind it to a fine paste.keep it aside.
👉In a pot add 2 tbsp oil,2 tbsp ghee once the ghee is hot add the brown onions add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste to it sauté for a while till the raw smell of ginger garlic goes.
👉Add three slit green chillies,Then add 2 chopped tomatoes to it mix everything together until mushy.
👉Now add 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder,1 tsp cumin powder,1 tsp turmeric powder,3 tbsp yogurt, mix it all up,add the Bhukaras,then add the almond paste to the gravy mix in everything together add 1 cup water let it simmer on low flame until we fry the chicken which is marinated.
👉Take a deep frying pan add 1/2 litre oil to it on a medium heat once the oil is hot drop the chicken one by one and deep fry it for 10 mins once done remove it in a plate and than add it to the bubbling gravy of onions and tomatoes, fold in everything together let it cook in the gravy for 10 mins.when done, plate it and Sprinkle with chopped fresh coriander
👉Serve the chicken bhukara with with parathas or pooris 😋
