Besan ladoos

Besan ladoos is a popular Indian sweet made of chana dal/Bengal gram, powdered sugar, clarified butter or ghee, Its very popular during festive season but in my house it doesn't require any occasion as my son like it a lot and I often make it.

Besan ladoos (aromatic and delicious ladoos which melt in your mouth).



Ingredients


500 gms Chana dal(Bengal gram)

200 gms powdered sugar

150gms ghee(hot melted ghee)

1 tsp cardamon powder


Method


*Heat up heavy bottom pan dry roast the channa dal for a good 10 to 12 min stirring continuously on a slow fire..till the dal turns slight brown in Colour.

Roasting is very important part of this dish do not burn it.



*Cool down completely the dal ...than grind the dal in to a fine powder.

*Take a big bowl transfer the ground dal powder to the bowl add cardamon powder to it add sugar, the entire sugar should be mixed evenly with the ground dal powder.


*Add in hot ghee to this mixture, combine it altogether to form a thick pasty dough.let the

Ladoo mixture become lukewarm before you shape them.

*Combine altogether the mixture to form into small balls(if the mixture is dry add in more ghee)


*Scoop up some mixture on your palm keep the mixture and roll into small to medium ball...repeat the same for all when all is ready store it into a airtight container.


*The delicious melt in your mouth ladoos are ready to eat.

*The laddos stay fresh for 2 to 3 weeks.
