Apple Chutney

Hand picked apples from the farm so thought of making Apple chutney


Ingredients


5 apples

1/2 tsp Apple cider vinegar

4 tbsp Honey

1/2 tsp Red chilly powder

1/2 tsp Mustard seeds

7 to 8 Fenugreek seeds

1 tbsp Olive oil

1 Cinnamon stick


Method




*Take a large bowl put the apples in it Wash It and peel the apples with the peeler than cut the Apples into cubes or diced them into pieces

*Put the diced apples in a bowl soak the apples in water for some time as they might change colour if we leave it without putting water. In the meanwhile we will have to start making the syrup.

*Heat up a pot on a medium heat add in 1 tbsp oil... add mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds let it splatter, do not burn let it burn.

*Add in cinnamon stick to the Hot pan

*Drain the water from the apples than add the diced apples stir In for 5 mins than add honey to it than add in 1/4 cup water,Fold in everything together

*Add in red chilly powder Mix it than add in apple cider vinegar...

*Slow down the heat,cover it and cook for 15 mins or till the apples become soft and the syrup becomes thick...

*When done let it cool down and than transfer it to the sealed jar

*You Can store the chutney in fridge for 3 weeks

*You can also add raisins for your chutney

*If don’t want honey you can add sugar aswell
