Aloo parathas is a whole wheat pan fried flatbreads stuffed with a mild spicy potato filling.we eat these parathas for breakfast ,for dinner, at all times. It can be made with different fillings but I make these with stuffed potato spiced mash filling more frequently.
Ingredients for filling the parathas:
👉2 medium potatoes(boiled,peeled,mashed)
👉1 green chilly finely chopped
👉1 onion finely chopped
👉handful of fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
👉1/2 tsp salt
👉 2 tbsp Butter
Combine all the above ingredients which says filling altogether and make small balls of it and keep it aside
For the dough
👉2 cups whole wheat flour
👉1/4 tsp salt
👉Warm water to knead
👉Take a bowl add in wheat flour,salt and warm water, little by little,knead the flour to form a soft dough let it rest for 15 min after that divide the dough into equal parts.
👉Roll one of the dough ball using rolling pin,take the combined filling ball and place it in the centre and bring all edges together and pinch to seal the edges.
👉Now flatten the dough ball by using your hands and roll it by using rolling pin.
👉Apply equal pressure on all the sides,roll it in a round shape.apply flour if necessary or if paratha sticks to the rolling board.
👉Heat up a tava/pan and transfer the Paratha to the hot pan and let it cook on both the sides on medium heat for 2 mins.
👉Apply butter or ghee as required on both the sides and the hot aloo parathas is ready to serve
👉Aloo parathas can be eaten just like that or with yogurt or pickle..
